Abstract

1370803 Packaging liquids under pressure in plastics pouches/bags IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 June 1972 [25 June 1971 (2) 30 Dec 1971] 29904/71 29905/71 and 60732/71 Headings B8C and B8K A pressurized liquid is enclosed in a tubular plastics pouch the ends of which are closed by sealing and which is encircled by a supporting sleeve 3, the pouch being provided with two emptying ports 5a, 5b covered by a strip 6 removably sealed to the pouch. Each port comprises either a plurality of small apertures (Fig. 10), or an arcuate cut out (Fig. 11) adapted to be torn from the pouch when the strip 6 is removed. The strip 6 has a pull tab 7 and is adhered to a band 4 of plastics which is sealed over each end of the pouch to provide reinforcement, the ports 5a, 5b being formed through both the band and the pouch. The pouch is provided with a filling aperture sealed by a patch 9. [GB1370803A]
