Abstract
1,231,466. Building slabs. W. HAUENSTEIN. 13 May, 1968 [13 May, 1967], No. 22619/68. Heading E1B. A prefabricated building panel comprises two layers of apertured bricks 1 united together back to back by morter and interengaging dovetail ribs 5, the layer of morter between the tongues and grooves being of substantially uniform thickness less than the height of the projection and adjacent blocks in a layer being bonded together by concrete plugs in grooves 3. Steel reinforcement may be included in grooves 3 and in grooves 18. The bricks in one layer may be offset relative to the bricks in the adjacent layer so that adjacent slabs overlap. The bricks in the outer layer may be thinner than the inner layer and have a high quality surface. Synthetic plastics pointing may be used at the outer edges of . joints between bricks in the outer layer.
