A moulding press for moulding panels, e.g. of concrete as claimed in Specification 1,211,562, comprises mould side walls constituted by a first pair of parallel beams, perpendicular to a second pair of parallel beams, those of the first pair being displaceable normal to their length, and a mould base which is made of a pluralty of hollow structures secured together releasably, and of the same length as the first pair of beams so that the mould base may be adjusted by addition or removal of one or more structures. As shown in the Figures, the mould assembly comprises cross-beams 13, 14 supporting side walls 20, 21 which may be set at different spacings on the cross-beams. The walls 20, 21 also support end walls 22, 23, a different set of which are needed for each different spacing of walls 20, 21 and which are movable along walls 20, 21 to adjust the mould length. The mould base comprises hollow-structures 50, secured by bolts 57 to a rigid beam 58, 59 of the same length as the structures. The beams are preferably in two parts 58 having co-operating shoulders to help prevent separation of the structures. Each structure is comprised of inwardly-facing channel members 50<SP>1</SP> joined by lower plate 55 and an upper plate 51 which may extend beyond the channel members. Lateral stiffening plates 56 may also be provided.
