Abstract

122,827. Groenewegen, G. Jan. 26, 1918, [Convention date]. Reversing-valves.-In a steam-engine the admission and exhaust are controlled by a rotary valve 32 provided with two circumferential openings 33, 34 which communicate through chambers in the valve with inlet and exhaust chamber 11, 13 respectively arranged in the valve-casing which is on the side of the cylinder. The openings 33, 34 communicate with ports 16, 19 or 17, 18 leading to the ends of the cylinder, according to the position of a reversing-sleeve arranged around the valve.
