Abstract

1,227,975. Pipe joints. WAVIN N.V. 9 Aug., 1968 [9 Aug., 1967], No. 38039/68. Heading F2G. A composite pipe consisting of a P.V.C. tube 1, fibre-reinforced polyester layers 2, 4 and a foam plastics layer 3, is bored to receive a branch pipe 12 which is screwed into a conical seating member 8 which is thus expanded to fit the bore. A layer of glue or a soft rubber sleeve 7 lines the bore. The seal 8 is of hard elastic material and the branch pipe of hard P.V.C.
