Abstract

The housing of a pressure regulator 1, is composed of two cup-like members 2 and 16 which in combination enclose the regulator component parts 12 and a filter 29, through which filter gas flows prior to being subjected to regulator control, and of which the upper part 16 is formed with a vent 36 leading to atmosphere. Disposed over the top of the upper part 16 is a shroud 32 the lowermost periphery of which overlies but is spaced from the vent 36, the shroud including a further cup-like portion 35 within which the spring tension-adjusting screw 23 is accommodated. An annular 0-ring is disposed between a recessed portion 33 of member 16 and the shroud 32.
