944,426. Valves. OTIS ENGINEERING CORPORATION. March 7, 1960, No. 8065/60. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] A gas lift valve 10 for an oil well includes a hollow cup-shaped closure member 30 controlling gas inlet ports 20, the interior of the member 30 being subjected to air pressure introduced through a valve 15. A second cupshaped non-return valve 50 is fitted between the ports 20 and the outlet 24. As shown the valve 10 is fitted to the exterior of the well tubing by means of a lug 23. In a modification the valve 10 is fitted with exterior sealing means and top and bottom extensions to make it suitable for insertion into an interior housing in the well tubing.
