122,654. Crosbee & Sons, T., Rogers, T. S., and Wilks, H. R. May 10, 1917. Sparking - plugs.-The surface of a porcelain or other insulator is ground so as to fit exactly within the plug casing. A packing- ring 18 of aluminium or other soft material is fitted between the insulator and the gland nut 21 or turnedin end of the casing, and may be of a material having a sufficiently high thermal coefficient of expansion to prevent the low co-efficient of the insulator from impairing the gastightness of the plug.
