Abstract
283,034. Eyquem, M. Feb. 8, 1927, [Convention date]. Sparking-plugs. - Pulverulent material k, such as powdered steatite, is used to effect gas-tightness, radial compression being produced by the oblique surfaces above and below the material. These surfaces may be on washers i, j, or the lower one may be formed in the interior of a liner between the insulation and the casing. In a third form the lower surface is a shoulder on the insulator. Pressure may be exerted by a gland nut or by turning over the end of the liner.
