Abstract
122,588. McGowan, H. S. July 12, 1918. Torpedo nets are positioned relatively to the vessel by means of rudders moved by connexions from the vessel. A net or screen 2 of flexible material connected to the vessel by towing ropes 13 and supported by floats 4 is provided with rudders 10 connected by a rope 11 passing through a block 12 to a windlass 15. The tow-line 13 and rope 11 may be provided with interposed springs.
