Abstract
1,225,728. Seaming non-metallic sheet material. FARMILOE SEALANTS Ltd. 20 May, 1969, No. 25725/69. Addition to 1,187,773. Headings B5K and B5N. [Also in Division E1] A waterproof covering as claimed in claim 1 of parent Specification, is provided with a release strip 23 having an outer layer of rubber or synthetic rubber or synthetic plastics material which has been fully cured and an inner layer of rubber or synthetic rubber or synthetic plastics material which is uncured or only partially cured so that it presents a slightly tacky surface, a strip being placed under each upstanding joint between the adjacent sheets, the sheets and strip being pressed together with the inner layers in contact at each joint. Before being pressed together, the edges of the sheets 15, 18 and the inner layer of the strip 23 are moistened with " white spirit." The layers of the sheets may be made of the materials specified in the parent Specification. Each upstanding joint is provided with a slit 24, Fig. 3, and the end section is turned down as a tab 25 and adhesively bonded to the surface of the sheet 18.
