[Also in Division F2] A break spinning machine includes a pair of radial gas bearings 4, 5 rigidly secured together and supported by a common elastic shock-absorbing member 10, and a thrust gas bearing 6 disposed between the yarn-forming bowl and the upper of the radial bearings. As shown, the radial bearings 4, 5 are supplied with air from the same source as the thrust bearing. The rotating shaft 1 is driven by band 15.
