Abstract
1,224,935. Relief patterns on ceramic glaze surfaces. ZAPADOCESKE KERAMICKE ZAVODY, NARODNI PODNIK. 19 June, 1968 [19 June, 1967], No. 29199/68. Heading C1M. Decorative relief patterns on ceramic glaze surfaces are formed by applying to a ceramic glaze layer a ceramic paste which contains at least 10% by weight of zinc oxide, the viscosity of which, within the melt, is different from that of the glaze layer, and baking the two layers. In the example, ceramic wall tiles are coated with a basic calcium-boron glaze hardened by means of zirconium. For the decorative glaze layer a mixture having the following composition in percentages by weight is used: 30 of glass metal according to Seger's formula; 34 ZnO; 34 TiO 2 ; 1 MnO 2 , 1 CuO, Seger's formula including CaO, SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , K 2 O and B 2 O 3 in specific proportions.
