Abstract

1,223,563. Inking apparatus. LINOTYPE & MACHINERY Ltd. 20 June, 1968 [1 April, 1967], No. 15035/67. Heading B6C. In a roller and ductor blade inking device applied to a printing press the ink fountain comprises the side frames of the press, the rotatable roller 13 and the flexible ductor blade 10 supported on a pivotally mounted body 1. The body mounting the blade is swingable within the press side frames to allow clear access to the roller and blade for cleaning purposes. The degree of ink transference to the roller 13 is controlled by the pressure of the blade against the roller at selected points along its length by means of a plurality of screws 14.
