[Also in Division C3] A sheet of sound-deadening material comprising a mixture of bitumen, filler (preferably ground limestone), and minor amounts of a synthetic hydrocarbon rubber (e.g. butadienestyrene, butyl rubber, polybutadiene, polybutene, polyisobutylene) and polystyrene is laminated to a steel panel by coating one side of the sheet with a heat activateable adhesive, e.g. polyurethane or rubber-wax emulsion, contacting the coated sheet with the steel panel and heating. The material may include natural resins and may be grooved or perforated.
