1,075,313. Laminates. G. W. SINGLETON. Feb. 3, 1966 [Feb. 5, 1965], No. 5037/65. Heading B5N. [Also in Division E1] A method for forming a floor or like covering comprises applying a surface of a resilient material in sheet form to a hardboard, strawboard or plywood sheet, securing the composite sheets together by bands or ribs of adhesive and applying pressure to the sheets in a press and forming one or more of the edges of the sheets of the resilient material to project beyond the hardboard, strawboard or plywood sheet or vice-versa to provide overlapping joints with adjacent composite sheets when assembled. The specified resilient material is corkboard. Specified adhesives are bitumen, polyvinyl acetate and polyvinyl chloride.
