Abstract
1,220,840. Magnetic reed contact units. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 21 June, 1968 [22 June, 1967], No. 29768/68. Heading H1N. A sealed magnetic reed contact units has reeds with contact surfaces coated with metal that has a low mutual diffusion capability with the material of the reeds. Copper up to 3 micrometers thick may be coated on nickel iron reeds and other metals may be added to the coating. The added metal may be chromium, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, tin, molybdenum and/or tungsten or any element or elements from the long periods of Group IVB or VB, or from the long periods of Group VIA or from the second or third long periods of Group VIII of the Periodic Table of elements.
