[Also in Division H2] An electric lamp of quartz glass having a current supply wire of molybdenum in a pinch seal, has the seal protected by an outer coating of silver-enamel with a covering layer of metal such as nickel or chromium. The molybdenum supply wire which may be rolled to thin tape, may be platinum coated. The metal coated pinch may be used as a contact member.
