Abstract

1,218,248. Forinwork. BYGGFORBATTRING AB. 31 May, 1968 [2 June, 1967], No. 26263/68. Heading E1S. A sliding or climbing formwork for structures which vary in horizontal section along a substantially vertical axis, e.g. a chimney stack, comprises inner and outer formwork panels 2 supported by an arrangement including adjustable units each formed either of two pivotally interconnected rods, e.g. 6 (Fig. 23), or two pivotally interconnected frames, e.g. 15a, 15b (Fig. 36), each pivot axis being substantially horizontal, such an arrangement allowing the panels 2 to move in or out as they are jacked up reinforcing rods 4a to cast the structure. The pivoted rod units may be outside the panels 2, as shown, and interconnected by pivoted rods 8 forming further units, and telescopic rods 9. The units may alternatively be inside the formwork panels, as in Fig. 22 (not shown). The pivoted rods 6 are connected to uprights 5a, 5b and 6. The upright 5a, 5b is telescopic and can be adjusted in height by a screw 10. In the embodiment of Fig. 36, the yokes 1f, to which the frames 15a, 15b are connected, are movable up or down by screws 10.
