Abstract
121,810. Pessell, R. C. Jan. 2, 1918. Hand-trucks.-Relates to carriers for loading milk-churns &c. into railway vans and unloading them, and consists chiefly of means for facilitating the depositing of the load. The carrier, as shown in side elevation in Fig. 1 and in sectional plan in Fig. 2, is formed of a pair of rectangular frames a connected together at opposite corners by rods d, g, the rod d being oppositely screwed and provided with a pedal i which is pressed against the ground while the other end of the carrier is raised so that the lower frame members and their supporting ledges c, on which the churn rests, are moved apart and the churn is deposited on the floor.
