Abstract

1,216,533. Valves. HATTERSLEY NEWMAN HENDER Ltd. 11 July, 1968 [12 April, 1967], No. 16664/67. Heading F2V. Butterfly closure member 17 is jammed against seat 11 during final rotary movement of actuaring spindle 12 by a cam 13 provided with a tooth 14 which forces blocks 15, 15a apart, against the action of springs 16, 16a, during this movement. In a modification (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) the cam moves a single block against the action of a coil spring concentric with a shaft (22) corresponding to shaft 12.
