Abstract

[Also in Division G5] A paper roll memorandum appliance comprises a pair of reels such as 95 between which a paper tape 80 is wound, the appliance including a tape-stop mechanism whereby the tape may be stopped in a selected position by means of an arm 90 which engages a projection 94 on the reel 95 to prevent rotation thereof. The stopping position is selected by sliding a spring urged lever 100 along a shaft to which it and the arm 90 are keyed, the lever 100 rocking when it meets a slot in the paper tape at a selected position. The reels may be rotated manually or by an electric motor.
