Abstract

1,216,107. Bearing seals. MOTORRADWERKZSCHOPAU VEB. 4 March, 1968, No. 10390/68. Heading F2B. A bearing for the fork arm of a two-wheeled vehicle is sealed by a sealing ring 3 of resilient material coaxially attached to a support element 2 which engages an end of a bearing sleeve 7, the sealing ring being undulated in axial cross-section and arranged to lie in the space between the journal 4 and sleeve 7 to form individual chambers for containing grease. The support element 2 may be made of metal and provided with apertures or grooves for receiving the sealing ring 3.
