1,215,984. Coating with Al and Cr. VOENNO-VOZDUSHNAYA INZHENERNAYA ORDENA LENINIA KRASNOZNAMENNAYA AKADEMIA IMENI PROFESSORA N. E . ZHUKOVSKOGO. March 27, 1968, No.14693/68. Heading C7F. Heat-resistant alloys are coated with Al and Cr by heating them whilst immersed in a powder consisting of about 50 per cent by weight Al 2 O 3 in admixture with a Cr/Al mixture containing 41-47% Cr and 3-9% Al under reduced pressure and at a solution temperature. A turbine blade may be coated by heating to a temperature of 1050-1250‹ C. under a pressure of not more than 0À5 mm Hg for 2-8 hours.
