Abstract
1,215,625. 625. Speed governors. GOTAVERKEN A.B. Jan. 16, 1968 [March 30, 1967], No. 2327/68. Heading G3B. A device for governing an engine comprises a centrifugal governor 2 having a loading diaphragm 9, controlling an injection pump 1 so that a high pressure acting on the diaphragm 9 corresponds to a low speed, and a lower pressure corresponds to a higher speed, a cam actuator 5 on a regulator valve 6, disposed, e.g. on the bridge of a ship, to control flow from a source 3 to the diaphragm 9, a further valve 15, disposed, e.g. in the engine room, and also controlling flow from the source 3 to the diaphragm 9, and a valve 10, Fig. 2, having a diaphragm 11 to allow only the flow signal of highest pressure to pass to the diaphragm 9, so that the valve 15 can be set to limit the speed of the engine.
