Abstract
1,215,515. Bibs. I. H. BOYE, J. KRISTENSEN, and P. E. RASMUSSEN. 6 May, 1968 [9 May, 1967], No. 21312/68. Heading A3V. A set of throwaway bibs, each consisting of one or more layers of thin material such as paper in which cuts 4, 5 are made so as to form a neck incision, and a flap 6 to be folded down, is made by joining the bibs so as to form a long strip in which the border between the bibs is formed by perforations 2, 3 across the length of the strip. The set may be rolled up or folded for transportation and dispensing. The cuts 4 and 5, together with the perforation 2 form the flap 6 and two neck strips 7 and 8. The cuts 4 and 5 may terminate in round holes to prevent tearing. At the ends of the strips 7 and 8, on opposite sides of the paper, there are regions 13 with selfadhesive glue to enable the bib to be fastened round the neck of a wearer (Fig. 8, not shown). Alternatively the bib can be fastened by tying the strips 7 and 8 (Fig. 4, not shown). The lower part of the bib can be folded up along line (AA<SP>1</SP>) (Fig. 5, not shown) to form a pouch. The bibs may be coated on one side with extruded polyethylene glued thereto.
