Abstract

Continuous mfr. of tamperproof bags from folded thermoplastic sheet having the edges turned inwards, comprises applying tear perforations in 'S' shaped patterns at intervals which intersect in three places each transverse cuttin weld which serves to divide the sheet into successive bags. The upper and lower parts of each 'S' perforation pattern are aligned with longitudinal channels which contain tie straps between welded seams, so that sepn. of adjacent bags leave each with 'D' profile tabs which may be pulled off to give access to the tie tapes. Provides access to the tie tapes without partially destroying the security of the bag, thus avoiding loss or contamination of the bag contents.
