Abstract

1,272,898. Carrier bags. P & B AGENCIES (PTY) Ltd. Oct.1, 1970 [Oct.8, 1969], No.46726/70. Heading A4B. Handles 12 attached to sheet material 28 before it is folded and severed into bags are folded back upon themselves and temporarily secured into a position 16 so that the sheet 28 may be severed along a line 18 without severing the handles. The handles may be retained in the i.e. folded position by weakly bonding a strip of material which may have perforation lines over them, by weakly gluing the legs of the handles together with spots of glue or by providing the handles with strips of malleable material, e.g. metal, at the fold lines.
