Abstract

1,213,722. Oil burners. DANFOSS A.S. 19 Jan., 1968 [20 Jan., 1967], No. 3005/68. Heading F4T. An oil burner comprises a rotatable inverted conical distributer head 11 driven by a motor 9 and supplied with fuel from a reservoir 17 up a tube 10 to the inner surface thereof, the oil being thrown off either edges 23 of slits 15 or off top edge 14, there being attached to the outer surface of the cone blades 13 projecting above edge 14, which blades draw air up through aperture 20 and serve to mix it with the fuel, and there being further provided an apertured cylinder 21 above the head 11 which recirculates combustion gases 26. The burner is located in a boiler 1 partially closed at its lower end by a frusto-conical base 6 defining aperture 20. An igniter 8 is provided. In modifications the blades can either be formed by cut-outs from the top part of the head bent out of the surface of the cone, or by cut-outs from a horizontal flange attached to edge 14. In a further modification an annular blade system.is attached by a few supports to the top edge of the cone.
