Abstract

1,213,234. Cable terminations. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. 17 April, 1968 [18 April, 1967], No. 18071/68. Heading H2E. A cable has conductors 1 covered by insulation 2 and semi-conductive layers 3 the whole being wrapped in another semi-conductive layer 4, a conductive layer 5, which in use is at a potential considerably different from conductors 1, and a protective layer 6, the exposed ends of the insulated conductors having wrappings 7 of semiconductive tape wound over a layer of coldvulcanizing silicon rubber paste to make overlapping contact with semi-conducting layer 3 at one end of the wrapping. In a single core cable layer 4 is omitted.
