Chimneys and flues.-A stack-pipe flashing for a roof consists of a flanged conical base 1 made of sheet metal, and a conical upper part 4 made of lead or similar soft metal which can be hammered into close contact with the pipe. To accommodate pipes of various sizes, grooves 5 are made in the part 4, and the material within an area smaller than the pipe is removed by cutting around a groove, the remainder being closed on to the pipe. The flashing is suitable for roofs of different pitches.
