Abstract

1355517 Flashings for chimneys &c. BARTOL PLASTICS Ltd 26 April 1972 [6 May 1971] 14176/71 Heading F4J [Also in Division E1] An aluminium or lead plate 1 for sealing round a soil pipe or vent pipe passing through a roof is provided with an aperture to the periphery of which is secured an elastomeric sleeve 3 of styrene, butadiene or neoprene, the free end of the sleeve 3 being of smaller diameter than the hole in the metal sheet. The sleeve may be frusto-conical with its axis inclined to the normal of the plate 1 or it may be of bellowslike formation so that a variety of inclinations may be easily provided.
