Abstract

1463309 Sealing roofs around pipe outlets WILLIAM J COX Ltd 20 Jan 1975 [4 Dec 1973] 56133/73 Heading E1W An assembly for fixing to the top of a soil vent pipe, to form a sealed joint with a tiled roof, comprises a tile element 1 with an aperture through which passes a pipe 6, sealed against the element 1 by a flexible sleeve 13 and carrying a lower flexible connector 16 for the vent pipe. The pipe 6 is preferably pivotally connected to thermoplastic trunnions 8 which are welded to the tile element 1, which is also of a thermoplastic material. The pivotal connection may be. by a bolt 11 passing into a lug 9, allowing the pipe 6 to be fastened tightly into a particular position after rotation. The part of the element I surrounding the aperture is flat (5) (Fig. 1, not shown).
