The invention relates to a roof covering part of the lead-through type which can be placed above an opening in a roof such that it encloses a tubular member 5 passed through this opening, comprising a generally tubular part of a moldable plastic and a deformable lead bib which is at an angle to the longitudinal direction of the tubular part and has a hole surrounded by an edge region, the edge region being embedded in a slot formed in the plastic of the tubular part, which from the outside of the tubular part, entering pipe-like part, extending around the circumference of the pipe-former part and wherein the embedded edge region is provided with anchoring holes.
Such a roofing part is known from the Dutch patent application 7206037, in particular the embodiment according to Figure 9 thereof. This roofing part consists of an elastomeric sleeve and, for example, a lead flashing. The lead flashing is provided with a hole and the edge area around this opening is embedded in a straight circumferential slot in the lower end of the leastomer bus. The lead flashing is mainly anchored in the slot because the elastomer fills the anchoring holes formed in the embedded edge region. This method of attaching the lead bib to the elastomeric sleeve has the disadvantage that if the lead bib is bent, profiled and / or trimmed in place when the roof covering part is placed, the lead bobbin tends to tear at the anchoring holes and become detached as a result of tensile stresses in the pilot slab material.
The object of the present invention is to improve the connection between the plastic pipe part and the lead bib for a roof covering part of the type indicated at the outset in such a way that it is more resistant to deformation forces exerted on the lead bib when placed.
For this purpose, a roof covering part of the type destroyed above is characterized in that the part of the edge area provided with anchoring holes connects to the non-embedded part of the shed slab by means of a section S-shaped part of the edge area.
The S-shaped part which runs along the edge of the hole provides an additional resistance to the withdrawal of the lead bib from the embedding, which then has to undergo a movement opposing the S-bend at the location of the embedding (the so-called bend effect). This extra resistance is essentially distributed along the area of the S-bend and relieves the anchoring holes of harmful tensile stress.
It is noted that U.S. Pat. No. 1,615,929 discloses a roofing part consisting of a steel plate with a hole therein. Around the hole the steel plate is provided with an annular elevation provided with anchoring holes which connects to the remaining part of the plate by means of an S-bend. Only the ring with holes is embedded in a can or lead, in this case lead.
To further increase the reliability of the connection between the pipe-shaped part and the lead bib, it is furthermore preferred if the part of the edge region provided with anchoring holes is the bottom of a groove formed in the edge region. The groove forms, as it were, an ascending S-bend and a descending S-bend in the lead bib, which provides a further bend effect.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing of a preferred embodiment.
Figure 1 shows of a cover part 1 according to the invention the plastic pipe-shaped part 2 and the lead bib 3, which are interconnected. On the pipe-shaped part 2 a second pipe-shaped part 4 is attached, which is tiltably attached to the pipe-shaped part 2, so that its position can be adjusted independently of the roof pitch, the roof covering part 1 is arranged above an opening 5 in a sloping roof 6 The lead flashing 3 connects to the surrounding cover parts, such as, for example, roof tiles (not shown). The lead bib makes it possible for the shape thereof to be easily adapted to the other covering parts used for covering the roof 6. Through the hole 5 in the roof 6 and the pipe-shaped parts 2 and 4 a pipe 7, shown with dashed lines, can protrude, for example for the discharge of combustion gases from a heating boiler.
Een verbinding, zoals getoond in figuur 2, kan opFigure 2 shows a detail of how the tubular part 2 connects to the lead bib 3. For this purpose a hole is located in the lead bib 3 and the edge area 8 of that hole is embedded in a collar 9 which runs along the outer circumference of the tubular part 2 and a whole with it. To strengthen the connection 55 between the tubular part 2 and the lead bib 3, the latter is provided with a protrusion 11 emerging from the plane thereof. Holes 12 are spaced apart in this groove, spread over the circumference. A connection as shown in Figure 2 can be used
