121,119. Schmidt, C. D. Nov. 24, 1917. [Convention date]. Tread bands.-A non-skid device consists of a length of chain or the like 13 encircling the tyre and rim with the ends 14, 15 overlapping around a spoke 12, a hook or other coupling 17 at each end being secured to a link adjacent the other end of the chain. To permit replacement or repair of the tread portion 13, this may be connected to the end portions by swivel links such as 18, Fig. 4.
