Abstract

When a double-acting hydraulic ram (not shown) reaches the end of a stroke, a rod 10 movable by the ram and having stops 11, causes rotation of an arm 8 from an end position A or B to beyond the medial position shown, whereafter biasing means causes the arm to snap over to its other end position, the rotation of the arm being imparted to a lever 3 for reversing a valve 1 controlling the ram. The movement of the arm 8 is imparted to the lever 3 through a pin 5 fixed to the lever and disposed in an arcuate slot in a quadrant portion 7 of the arm 8. As shown, the biasing means is a weight 9 but springs may be used instead. A manually operated over-riding lever 12 is fixed to the lever 3.
