[Also in Division F2] A method of internally cleaning a smallbore tube of nominal bore from “ to 1¢ inches and of a steam boiler, condenser, or economizer, &c., comprises blasting shot into the end of the tube through a nozzle. A fine mineral grit, a by-product of mineral slag from steel making, can be used effectively as shot, an air pressure at the nozzle of from 70-80 + 5 lbs. per square inch, and an air volume of from 140-256 cubic feet per minute in general, being used.
