Abstract

1,207,663. Spray-producers. ROBERT BOSCH HAUSGERATE G.m.b.H. 3 Oct., 1967 [4 Oct., 1966], No. 44958/67. Addition to 1,120,815. Headings B2F and B2L. Apparatus for coating articles 7 such as refrigerator housings with a liquid, e.g. paint, comprises a pair of coaxially mounted spraying discs 4, 13 at least one spraying surface of which is inclined towards the other in a radially outward direction, the disc 13 being mounted on a tube through which liquid is conducted by means of a conduit 17' onto the lower surface of this disc. The disc 4 is arranged at the free end of a centrally mounted funnel forming a cavity 3 into which liquid is introduced at its minimum diameter region through a conduit 10. The discs may be connected to a high voltage D.C. source so as to spray the liquid in an electrostatic field. The edges of the discs may touch, Fig. 3 (not shown) or be separated by a distance of not more than 20 m.m. Different paints may be supplied through the conduits 10, 17' and both discs may be inclined towards each other. The housings 7 are suspended by runners 8 from a ra'il 6 and are moved along arcs about the discs while being rotated by devices 9. The discs are vertically reciprocated during spraying.
