Abstract

1,151,448. Spray-producers. A.U.I. VEGEBY. 1 July, 1966 [5 July, 1965; 9 June, 1966], No. 29712/66. Heading B2F. A spray producer suitable for use in industrial washing apparatus comprises a liquid supply tube 1 provided with a central discharge orifice, a first deflector plate 2 provided with an aperture 4 smaller in diameter than the discharge orifice, and a solid second deflector plate 5, both of the plates being mounted by a bracket 3 so that they are inclined with respect to the tube axis. A sleeve 10 around the end of the tube 1 aids the spraying of liquid drained or recirculated from the plate 5 through a further aperture 11 in the plate 2. The inclination of the plates with respect to the tube axis may be the same and may be adjusted. A plurality of apertured plates may be located between the plate 5 and the discharge orifice, the aperture of each plate aligned with the discharge orifice being smaller than that of the adjacent upstream plate.
