Abstract

1,206,836. Hydromassage Assemblies. JACUZZI RESEARCH Inc. 6 Nov., 1968 [6 June, 1968], No. 52538/68. Heading A4N. [Also in Divisions A5 and B1] A hydromassage bath comprises a bath 1 having end walls 7, 9 and vertical side walls 3, (5) and a bottom wall 11, the bath being preferably contoured for encouraging the user to take up a position along one diagonal, vertical flat surfaces (17), 19 being diagonal for receiving jet assemblies 25 recessed in the walls and connected to controllable air intakes mounted above them in the bath walls, and to a water pump 55, which supplies the jets with water from a drain opening (15), in the bottom wall 11, covering a hollow fitting 69 which is connected to the pump by a pipe 63 and, via a pipe 71 and a T-coupling 73, to a drain pipe 65, the connection to the drain pipe being blocked off by a plug (75) when the pump is in operation. The plug (75) is connected to a linkage actuated by a lever (77) in the overflow opening 13 placed in the end wall 7, the linkage being contained within the pipe 71, T-coupling 73 a pipe 79 which connects the overflow opening to the T-coupling. The jet assemblies 25 may be of the type disclosed in U.S.A. Specification 3,297,025.
