Abstract

1,204,528. Controlling gas burners. EVERED & CO. Ltd. 22 Jan., 1969 [25 Oct., 1967], No. 48390/67. Heading F4T. A valve assembly V for controlling the supply of gas to at least two main burners has a body formed of two components 10, 11 providing a duct between a gas inlet 13 and a main outlet 14, solenoid-operated valves 19, 20 being arranged in the duct and a gas governor 33 including a compensating diaphragm 34 for reducing pressure variations is provided in the intermediate section of the duct between the valves, an outlet 38 for supplying gas to a pilot burner also being in communication with the duct between the valves, the flow of gas from this outlet being controlled by a further governor. The intermediate section also has outlets 45. As shown in Fig. 2, gas-fired appliances 50, 51 have their burners 52, 54 connected to outlets 14, 45 respectively and pilot burners 52a, 54a are connected to outlet 38 and the valves 19, 20 may be controlled by circuits as disclosed in Specifications 1,198,627 and 1,193,502.
