Abstract

1,204,332. Insoles. SPENCO Inc. 10 Nov., 1969 [5 May, 1967], No. 51308/67. Heading A3B. [Also in Division B5] An inner sole insert comprises a closed cell foam base 12, # to ¢ inch thick having a maximum compression set of less than 50 per cent and a two-way linear elongation which allows one face of said base to shift laterally # to ¢ inch with respect to the other face of said base when a lateral force is applied to said one face and a two way stretch fabric 14 bonded to said one face of the base by a rubbery adhesive 16. Specified foams are neoprene, rubber and polyvinyl chloride. The fabric may be made of stretchable fibres e.g. of nylon or polyethylene terephthalate or may be of a stretch weave e.g. jersey tricot or milanese. Specified adhesives are raw rubber, gutta percha and neoprene.
