Abstract

120,402. Saunderson, H. P. April 23, 1917. Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of hand and transmission gear in conjunction with; interlocking and guarding against wrong m o v c - ments. - T h e gear-box for the change - s p e e d gears of motor tractors &c. constitutes an independent unit readily detachable by means of bolts from the frame, and in two parts a, b, upon the upper part h of which are mounted on the spindles r<1> the change-speed and reverse levers r so as to allow the levers and the upper part of the gear-box to be removed. The levers are in one plane on opposite sides of the steering-wheel, and are provided with a pivoted locking-bar w and catches v to prevent the simultaneous operation of the levers.
