Abstract

1,202,773. Tanks for corrosive fluids. ALLEGHENY PLASTICS Inc. 17 Jan.. 1968 [26 July, 1967], No. 2462/68. Heading BIT. In a tank for corrosive fluids having non- rigid walls 12, 14 reinforced by an external arrangement oif metal tubes, 81, each tube is encased in a non-rigid casing 58 and passes through reinforcing ribs 18 on the walls. At the corners the reinforced tubes abut as shown and are interconnected by a spring-loaded bolt arrangement 76, 88 to accommodate thermal expansions. The walls may be made of thermoplastics material and provided with a cover of like reinforced construction having lifting lugs and nesting pads, see Fig. 4, (not shown).
