Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the structural members and to reduce sloshing load by forming a tank to hold low temperature liquefied gas, by utilizing the tank lower half part integrated with the hull structure and its upper half part which can move up and down. CONSTITUTION:The upper half part 3B of the tank is provided in such a way as being able to move up and down with provision of a side wall 4b piled on a side wall 4a of the lower half part 3A of a tank. A tank reinforcing member 5 is installed for reinforcing the upper half part 3B. Liquid tightness is held by inserting seal bark between the side wall 4a of the tank lower hafl part 3A and the side wall 4b of its upper half part 3B. The tank lower part 3A and its upper part 3B constitute a tank 3 to hold low temperature liquefied gas. The space in the tank 3 sufficiently reduces sloshing load by up and down motion of the upper half part 3B, and the structural members may be also saved.
