Abstract

120,263. Nobbs, C. G., and Falkirk Iron Co. Nov. 3, 1917. Eyelets are used as terminals in electric heating-elements in which wire or ribbon is wound on a flat support, such as mica; the wire or strip is passed through and folded over the edges of the holes and clamped by the eyelets. As shown in Fig. 1, the metal ribbon is passed several times through each hole. The eyelet consists of two members c, d, Fig. 2, of brass or other metal, united by expanding the member c. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, metal ribbons g, g<1> are similarly connected to auxiliary terminal eyelet members c, d.
