Stable, aqueous, injectable solutions of glucagon comprise from 0.1 to 5.0 mg/ml of glucagen and a stabilising and solubilising amount of an anionic, cationic or nonionic detergent, e.g. cetrimide, an alkyl aryl sulphonate or a polyoxyethylenealkyl ether/urea complex (others are mentioned). Preparation of the solutions is by simple admixture of the ingredients.
