[Also in Division D1] A bobbin 13 mounted on a shaft 5 is prevented from moving axially or rotationally relative to the shaft by means of an inflatable collar 10 carried by the shaft 5 preferably at or near one end. The collar 10 is inflated by fluid pressure from valve 11 and is constrained to expand radially outwardly by means of clamping jaws 6 and 7 so that it bears against the internal surface and, as shown, the end face of bobbin 13. The other end of shaft 5 may have a conical part 14 against which one end of the bobbin abuts. Alternatively the collar 10 may project beyond both ends of bobbin 13 and bear against both end faces when inflated or two separate collars, one at each end of the bobbin may be used.
