1406812 Chucks BORG-WARNER GmbH [trading as STEIBER DIVISION] 17 Aug 1972 [20 Aug 1971 (2)] 2610/75 Divided out of 1406811 Heading B3B The Specification relates to a work holding device as disclosed in the parent Specification 1,406,811, but the claims are directed to a work holding device comprising a tapered workholding arbor 1, an expansible work-holding sleeve 9a engaging matingly with the tapered surface of said arbor and being provided with longitudinal slits extending alternately from its opposite ends, a cap screw 4 for urging the sleeve 9a longitudinally relative to the arbor to effect contraction and expansion thereof, and means for connecting said cap screw 4 to said sleeve 9a, said connecting means comprising an internal annular groove 8a disposed at the front end of the sleeve 9a and a collar 7a provided on the cap 16 of said cap screw which is adapted to be introduced into and retained within said annular groove 8a.
