Abstract

1,202,450. Ventilators. SOUTHERN GAS BOARD. 5 Aug., 1969 [2 Dec., 19681, No. 56989/68. Heading F4V. A ventilator comprises a frame formed by interlocking members 1, 2, 3 and 4 which is mounted in a gap left by removal of part of a window pane 26, the member 1 being screwed to the window frame 27 and the pane 26 being sandwiched between flanges 15, 18 of the member 2 which are movable relatively to one another, and a louvre removably mounted in the frame. The ventilator components are cut from clear or opaque extruded plastics sections. A groove 16 in the flange 15 supports a removable strip which retains the louvre in the frame. The louvre includes vertical supports having slots for inclined louvre slats. Part of the louvre may be blanked off by a removable plate. The frame member 2 includes drain holes for rain water.
